The IKEA MARKUS has been a budget office chair staple for years. We used it as a daily driver for three months.
What we liked
Built-in lumbar support and high back give good support for the price. 10-year warranty is rare at this price. Mesh back is breathable. Height and tilt adjust easily. Simple, clean look that fits most desks.
What we didn't
Seat cushion is on the firm side. Armrests are fixed—no height or width adjustment. Not as plush as higher-end chairs, but for under $200 it's hard to beat.
