Brita Standard Pitcher 10-Cup
Brita Pitcher Review: Still the Best Water Filter Pitcher?
Filter life, taste, and flow rate. We tested against Pur and ZeroWater.
The Brita Standard 10-Cup is the classic water filter pitcher. We used it for two months and compared taste and filter life to Pur and ZeroWater.
What we liked
Noticeably improves taste of tap water—reduces chlorine and some contaminants. Filter lasts about 40 gallons (Brita's estimate); we got close. Pitcher fits in most fridge doors. Filters are easy to find and replace. Low upfront cost.
What we didn't
Flow is slow when the filter is new and slows more as it ages. Doesn't remove as much as ZeroWater (no TDS reading). You need to remember to replace the filter or quality drops.
Verdict
Still the best value for better-tasting tap water. We earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
